11/1/54, South Vietnam, Battalion renamed II/36 Infantry Regiment.
12/16/54, Annam, Battalion renamed the II/36 Regiment. Part of the AVN Group Nung with the 32 BVN, 57 BVN, 72 BVN, & 75 BVN all were Nung Battalions from Tonkin.
1/1/55, South Vietnam, II/36 IR renamed II/9 IR of ARVN 3rd Division.
6/1/55, SVN, Group Nung Renamed 6th Division of ARVN.
