Hi,
Some info on the Tabors that I have been working on for a while. If there are corrections to what is presented, please let me know.
Regards
Group of Morrocan Tabors E. O. (GMTEO),
1/1/50, formed at Lang Son for Operations on RC 4. Had 3rd, 8th, & 10th Tabors.
CO = Col. Le Page.
2/50, near Dong Khe on RC 4.
5/27/50, together with 3rd BCCP retakes Dong Khe, leaves 8th Tabor as garrison.
June 1950, 8th, & 10th Tabors replaced by 1st, & 11th Tabors.
10/50, fought RC 4 battle with 1st, 11th Tabors, BM/8th RTM, & 1st BEP.
1/21/51, disbanded after the RC 4 disaster. Renamed the GLTMEO.
1951 thru 1953, Tonkin, served as HQ at Lai Chau.
7/53 thru 8/54, Laos, served as HQ on the Plaine de Jars
1er Tabor, 6/13/50, IndoChina, Goums 58, 59, 60, GCAT (20e Goum replaced the 59e in May 1951)
June thru October 1950, Tonkin, together with 11th Tabor replaced the 8th & 10th Tabors. AO = RC 4. Security on the Chinese border.
10/50, RC 4 withdraw battles where suffered heavy losses opening a passage at Coc Xa following the 1st BEP attack. Survivors of RC 4 were four officers out of fifteen, twenty five NCO’s out of fifty four, three hundred troopers out of eight hundred & fifty six.
10/7/50, joined with Cao Bang garrison.
10/10/50, reached safety at Na Ham.
1951, reformed with replacements from North Africa.
Tonkin, operations near Hoa Binh.
2/52 thru 5/52, AO = Annam, near Hue & Tourane.
4/10/52, returned to North Africa
CO = Cdt Feaugas (POW) later Cdt Riez

11/20/51, Tonkin, replaced the 17th Tabor.

October 1954, returned to North Africa after the end of Operations.

10/50, withdraw battles on RC 4 the 11e Tabor suffered heavy losses and reached Na Kheo, with only 369 survivors out of 924 goumiers and French officers.
10/7/50, joined with Cao Bang garrison.

My uncle was adjudant major of the 11eme Tabor in 1950
His name is cne jean Donot, later he had replaced cdt Delcros and cdt Arbola before leaving
I was very pleased to find all the detailed information of the tabord indochina
I have a very little information about this period as the time is fading
Some pictures and a copy of a 8 mm film that I have diged out from Epcad as family documents
The Dates you provided are very helpful to retrieve information
