2/1/51, Annam, formed from GVNS with cadre from 1 BVN, 3 BVN, 5 BVN & 11 BVN at Phan Thiet near Quang Tri.
5/1/51, Annam, Quang Tre the Battalion was Operational.
7/10/51, Annam, Battalion moved from Quang Tre to Vinh Long in Cochin China.
1951, Cochin China, part of 1 Vietnamese Division, had a Vietnamese Commanding Officer.
8/1/55, South Vietnam, Battalion renamed II/103 Infantry Regiment.
11/1/55, South Vietnam, II/103 IR renamed II/34 IR/ARVN 12 Division.
