Hi,
Here is the 11th BVN to the 20th BVN. I have included what was the fate of the Battalions after 1954, some authors do not understand where the Army of the Republic of Vietnam had it's origins. Regards.

11 BVN:
9/1/50, Annam, Battalion created at Chau Doc from elements of GVNS & cadre from 1 BVN & 3 BVN. Zone Ouest, AO = Long Xuyen.
1/30/51, Annam, Battalion moved from Quang Tre to Chau Doc.
1951, part of 1 Division Vietnamese, had a French Commanding Officer.
4/1/51, Cochin China, operations & security sweeps.
4/25/51 to 4/28/51, Operation ORAGE near the Plaine des Joncs.
Served with GM 11.
3/1/53, Transferred to FAVN.
12/1/53, Cochin China, became part of GM 11.
11/1/54, South Vietnam, Battalion renamed III/11 Infantry Regiment.
11/1/55, South Vietnam, III/11 IR renamed III/31 IR/ARVN 11 Division.

12th BVN:
10/1/50, Annam, Battalion formed at Dong Hoi from GVNC instruction troops.
2/1/51, Annam, Battalion moved to Dong Hoi.
1951, Annam, part of 2 Division Vietnamese, had a Vietnamese Commanding Officer.
11/1/54, South Vietnam, Battalion renamed the II/23 Infantry Regiment.
11/1/55, South Vietnam, II/23 IR renamed II/3 IR/ARVN 1 Division.

13th BVN:
12/31/50, Cochin China, BM/151 RI disbanded by the CEFEO.
1/1/51, Cochin China, Battalion created at Can Tho from transferred BM/151 RI (70% Cambodians). AO = Can Tho.
1951, Part of 1 Division Vietnamese, had a French Commanding Officer.
7/15/51, Cochin China, provided volunteers for 1 BPVN.
5/10/54, Cochin China, Battalion stationed at Sadec.
8/1/55, South Vietnam, Battalion renamed the II/101 Infantry Regiment.
11/1/55, South Vietnam, II/101 IR renamed II/32 IR/ARVN 11 Division.

14th BVN:
12/31/50, Tonkin, the 7 BMEO disbanded by CEFEO.
1/1/51, Tonkin, Battalion created at Ninh Giang from transferred 7 BMEO with 86 European troops as cadre.
1 Quarter 1951, Battalion moved to Thai Binh. AO = Diem Ho.
1951, part of 3 Division Vietnamese, had a French Commanding Officer.
4/1/51, Tonkin, part of the De Lature Defense Line for the Red River Delta.
5/51, Tonkin, Operation MEDUSE.
7/10/54, Tonkin, 3 DMT near Phat Dien part of GML 6 in Operation AUVERGNE.
11/16/54, South Vietnam, Battalion renamed I/155 Infantry Regiment.
11/1/55, South Vietnam, I/155 IR renamed I/5 IR/ARVN 2 Division.

15th BVN:
7/1/51, Annam, formed from Cao Dai troops, at Rach Gia near Quang Tri. Part of 1 Division Vietnamese Sector, AO = Cholon, Tay Ninh, Vinh Long, Camau, & Cantho.
7/15/51, provided volunteers for 1 BPVN
10/15/51, Annam, Battalion moved from Quang Tre to Long Xuyen in Cochin China.
1951, part of 1 Vietnamese Division, had a Vietnamese Commanding Officer.
4/7/54, Stationed at Rach Gia.
1954, AO = Long Xuyen & Rach Gia.
8/1/55, South Vietnam, Battalion renamed I/103 Infantry Regiment.
11/1/55, South Vietnam, I/103 IR renamed I/34 IR/ARVN 12 Division.

16th BVN:
5/1/51, Tonkin, Battalion formed in Bui Chu by integration in the regular army the Battalion Suppletif of the Ex Autonomous Mobile Group 2 of Bui Chi (Non CEFEO Unit). The GMA 2 belongs to the Suppletif forces Vietnamese of Tonkin. Unit had an all Vietnamese Cadre.
1951, Battalion part of 3 Division Vietnamese, had a Vietnamese Commanding Officer.
1952, Tonkin, near Bui Chi. Battalion had Vietnamese cadre.
4/1/53, Commando 53 attached to Battalion.
3/1/54, Commando 53 transferred to 22nd BTA.
6/18/54 to 7/4/54, Tonkin, Battalion prepares for Withdrew from Bui Chu in Operation AUVERGNE.
7/10/54, Tonkin, 3 DMT near My Trach part of GML 9 in Operation AUVERGNE.
8/54, Moved from Haiphong to Long Xuyen.
7/10/54, Tonkin, 3 DMT near My Trach part of GML 9 in Operation AUVERGNE.
12/1/54, South Vietnam, Battalion renamed I/51 Infantry Regiment.
11/1/55, South Vietnam, I/51 IR renamed I/10 IR/ARVN 4 Division.

17th BVN:
8/1/51, Annam, formed from the Mobile Unit for the Defence of Christendom (UMDC) at Quang Tre.
11/2/51, Cochin China, Battalion moved to Zone Ouest in Tra Vinh where reinforced by UMDC members.
1951, part of 1 Vietnamese Division, had a Vietnamese Commanding Officer.
Served with GM 11.
5/1/53, Battalion reinforced by soldiers from the Mobile Unit for the Defence of Christendom (UMDC).
12/1/53, Cochin China, became part of GM 11.
7/10/54, Tonkin, 1 DMT near Ha Dung part of GML 5 in Operation AUVERGNE.
1/1/55, MR 1, Battalion D/B to provide support troops for the 15 Regiment.

18 BVN:
5/1/51, Tonkin, Battalion formed in Phat Diem from the Battalion Suppletif of the Ex Autonomous Mobile Group n°1 of Phat Diem (Non CEFEO Unit). Battalion was all Vietnamese Cadre Unit. Battalion formed by integration in the regular army of the GMA 1 which belongs to the Suppletif forces Vietnamese of Tonkin, established in the area of Phat Diem.
1951, part of 3 Division Vietnamese, had a Vietnamese Commanding Officer.
12/10/51, heavy losses defending Phat Diem from 320 PAVN. Reinforced by 10 BPCP.
1952, Tonkin, near Phat Diem. . Battalion had Vietnamese cadre.
7/1/54, Tonkin, Battalion prepares for withdrew from Ninh Binh in Operation AUVERGNE.
7/10/54, Tonkin, 3 DMT near Luc Dien part of GML 6 in Operation AUVERGNE.
1/1/55, South Vietnam, Battalion renamed II/155 Infantry Regiment.
11/1/55, SVN, II/155 IR renamed II/5 Infantry Regiment/ARVN 2 Division.

19th BVN:
12/31/50, Cochin China, Disbanded I/43 RIC as part of the CEFEO.
1/1/51, Cochin China, 19 BVN created from transferred I/43 RIC at Bac Lieu.
4/1/51, Cochin China, Battalion in Vinh Long on operations & security sweeps.
7/10/51, Cochin China, Battalion moved to Long Xuyen.
1951, part of 1 Vietnamese Division, had a French Commanding Officer.
12/4/53, Cochin China, stationed at Bac Lieu as reaction force for the Auto Defense Force Catholics de CaMau.
3/1/54, used to form the 6 BPVN and Vietnamese Commander of Battalion was now Commander of the 6 BPVN.
8/1/55, South Vietnam, Battalion renamed I/102 Infantry Regiment.
11/1/55, South Vietnam, I/102 IR renamed I/33 IR/ARVN 11 Division.
1/1/55, South Vietnam, Battalion D/B to provide support troops for the 11 Regiment.

20th BVN:
6/1/51, Tonkin, created in Hanoi from 579 & 587 CLSVN & Suppletifs.
GM 8. Battalion moved to My Trach where as part of GM 8.
1951, part of 3 Division Vietnamese, had a French Commanding Officer.
12/11/51, Operations with Commando 23.
12/12/51, Operations with Commando 29.
2/25/52, Operations with Commando 29.
3/10/52, Commando 29 left Battalion.
4/20/52, Tonkin, Battalion replaced 1 BEP.
8/1/52, Battalion had the 579 CSLV and the 587 CLSV attached.
12/1/53, Tonkin, became part of GM 32.
1/1/54, Tonkin, part of GM 32 near Hung Yen.
7/10/54, Tonkin, 4 DMT LOC duty on RC 5 with GM 32.
10/54, Moved from Haiphong to Tourane with GM 32.
11/1/54, SVN, Battalion absorbed the 717 TD & 724 TD and renamed III/32 IR.
11/1/55, South Vietnam, III/32 IR renamed III/4 IR/ARVN 2 Division.
